Festivals are now doubt all about the camping, the outfits, and the adventures, but what would it be without the music?
We have been lucky enough to see one of our all time favourite musicians play at a number of UK festivals over the years, including Glastonbury, Bestival and London's Love Box, so the release of Bonobo's new album Migration was hugely anticipated! And, like we knew he wouldn't, it did not disappoint. A few faves of ours have to be the collab's with Nick Murphy [formely known at Chet Faker] - 'No Reason' and his beautiful collab with Canadian music genius Rhye, called 'Break Apart'.
Recorded mostly on the road amidst a jam-packed tour, Migration is all about Bonobo questioning the very nature of home: what it is, where it is and how to get there - something we are all too familiar with! "Whilst writing this album I was drawing from relationships with landscape, movements of culture, people and their effect on their environments as they move and settle within them".
In our eyes, he has smashed it again, and we cannot wait to see him live at Worthy Farm at Glastonbury 2017!
